Joanna R. Bruno is founder and president of J.R. Bruno & Associates. A long-time advocate of the small business movement, she is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. She has been appointed to the Advisory Board of a program under development by UCLA Extension to provide business owners and entrepreneurs with the know-how and tools to establish and run successful small businesses. The UCLA Anderson School is a collaborator on the program. At J.R. Bruno & Associates, she leads an experienced JRB Team in delivering results-oriented services including staff training, technical assistance, underwriting, loan reviews and packaging, business development and marketing assistance, and hands-on day-to-day guidance.
Brad Crosley is a Senior Associate with J.R. Bruno & Associates. With more than 30 years of commercial lending experience and expertise in virtually every aspect of commercial lending, he's responsible for clients' SBA staff training, loan application packaging and processing, lender preparation for PLP audits, quality control for internal auditing, third-party policies and procedures reviews, and workflow analysis.
Alex Liberchuk brings more than 13 years of Commercial Lending experience to J.R. Bruno & Associates and heads the firm's recently re-opened East Coast operations to better serve lenders along the Eastern Seaboard. He has served in senior management and leadership positions at top financial services firms including Citigroup and American Express and held critical responsibilities within Business Development, Credit Policy and Operations. In addition to his primary responsibilities for expanding JRB's services to East Coast SBA and business lenders, Alex manages JRB's daily operations and, together with the team, works with clients across the country to assess current processes and portfolios for efficiency and credit quality enhancements.
Rebecca Mendoza has more than 15 years of SBA and commercial lending experience, with special expertise in liquidations and workouts. When she joined J.R. Bruno & Associates in 2008, she brought valuable in-house experience having administered the growth of SBA departments at several financial institutions. In addition to her liquidations expertise, Rebecca brings experience in portfolio management, loan documentation, processing and packaging, loan closing and funding, SBA staff training, procedure development, and overall loan operations. She knows what it takes to start up and maintain a successful business loan portfolio!
Linda Officer is J.R. Bruno's executive administrator. With more than 25 years of administrative experience, she delivers vital services to lenders and the JRB Team. She provides lenders with systems expertise, database management, direct mail programs, website management and general computer support. For the JRB Team, she handles database management, email programs, website management, conference coordination, PowerPoint presentation design, and many other assignments.
Lori McCausland has held department management positions at several national, regional and local financial institutions. Her primary responsibilities have included increasing lending team efficiency through more effective workflow, identifying compliance issues, and managing SBA and commercial loan processing and servicing groups from receipt of application to loan payoff. Among her responsibilities at J.R. Bruno & Associates are lending department staff training, loan servicing, portfolio reviews and Form 1502 reporting.
Jay Hinton has worked with small businesses and entrepreneurs for more than seven years. An entrepreneurial consultant, originally in the Equities markets, Jay brings marketing expertise and analytics solutions to J.R. Bruno & Associates. He is also a partner in eDocs-Express, a JRB alliance company offering commercial loan documentation on an outsource basis.
Ryan Coughlin has more than five years of experience in commercial banking with specialties in SBA (7a and 504 Loans) and commercial real estate lending. He also writes financial articles and a variety of training modules.
Toot Uchida is a Registered Investment Advisor and principal with NPB Financial Group, LLC. He is a seasoned veteran in the investment and financial planning industry, providing investment and retirement planning since 1961. As Senior Vice President of American Securities Corporation and American Funding Corporation he oversaw a nationwide sales force of more than 650 representatives.
